African-American Youth Leaders Balance State Budget

Click here to see the news spotlight on this year's AAYLP Summer Conference students and their trip to the State Capitol.

Members of the African-American Youth Leadership Program were at the State Capitol last month, working on balancing the State budget and getting hands-on experience as California legislators.  The trip to the Capitol is part of our annual summer conference that welcomes high school juniors and seniors to spend a week in Sacramento to learn about leadership in education, finance, health and politics.

This year, 58 students from throughout the state participated in the conference that many are already heralding as the best in the history of the program.  Please visit the AAYLP page for more information about the conference and other upcoming events.
